I went to Korea recently and stayed for a month.
Here are my experiences with South Korea.
Korea is a very good place to roam around, especially the transportation is very good. Lots of varieties of food you can try. But its difficult for veggies. Connectivity in trains(subways) are very good. The most attractive places are all subways. Subways are the biggest buildings and very nicely organised.
Almost in all streets you can find a Family Mart shop and which is 24 * 7, and Home Plus is the other one which is famous.
To go to any place in korea, First reach the nearest subway using the local bus(Everything will be in korea.. be careful).

It is very difficult in finding out the place, if you go out without planning, because finding a person who knows english is the difficult part. Koreans are very silent and they don't speak much in bus or trains.
Once you get into the subway then it is very easy to travel. Everything displayed in English as well.
